J. Ray McDermott is a leading worldwide marine solutions company. Our services include design, fabrication, transportation and installation of offshore platforms and offshore pipelines for the oil and natural gas industry. Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced and qualified individual to join us as:Project Piping Engineer
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate activities between design engineering office and fabrication yard
* Review all procedures related to piping and ensuring all procedures and calculation submitted to the Client for review and approval in accordance with the contract
* Review the project plan along with project planning engineer and construction manager, and depending on the project time frame and availability of manpower identify any specific part of the work to be subcontracted.
* Prepare the subcontract package in conjunction with Project Controls manager. Subsequently after approval of Project Manager, issue documented instructions to Purchasing or Subcontract Department to obtain suitable tenders well within time.
* Review all documents but not limited to specifications, drawings, instruction, site queries received from either client/customer representative or inter-alia departments involved in the execution of the Project.
* Coordinate and ensure that engineering and associated drafting work is carried out in accordance with specified requirements and schedule.
* Coordinate with Project Quality Manager to ensure that all works related to the Project is being performed in accordance with respective quality plan and all necessary documentation are available for final documentation package
* Coordinate with Project Procurement coordinator / Material coordinator to ensure all relevant materials and equipment to be available at site as required by the Project schedules
Requirements:
* Min. Bachelor Degree in Engineering
* Min. 8-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical /Power Plant Project
* Extensive experience in interfacing between design engineering office and fabrication yard
* Understand international applicable codes and standards for coating and piping.
* Understand piping specifications requirement related to LNG project
* Understand the insulation requirement on a typical onshore gas plant project (cryogenic insulation)
* Self driven and able to work as part of a dynamic and high performing team
Work location: Batam, Riau Island Province, Indonesia
